Kawan's Plain Frozen Paratha - 400g

Usage: The following set of instructions serves as a guideline to be followed, which is meant to enhance the consummatory experience of the Paratha Kawan, as observed on the packaging itself. The Indian flatbread can be prepared and cooked according to the directions given below or it can also be prepared according to one’s personal preferences with the additions or removal of various ingredients that can further enrich the taste of the parathas. One of many such ingredients includes various kinds of stuffing. This versatile, plain roti canai is able to amalgamate with both vegetarian or non-vegetarian-based stuffings such as chicken and also tofu or vegetables, which makes it truly customisable and a delight to prepare.

Cooking Instructions: Preheat a cast iron, skillet, or frying pan until sufficiently hot. A reliable technique to check the readiness of a hot fry pan or skillet is to look out for the presence of slight smoke around the edges of the appliance used. Once the pan is fully hot, remove the desired number of Paratha Kawan from the frozen package. It is imperative that the parathas are not thawed or defrosted prior to cooking. This can cause the flaky exterior of the paratha to become doughy or sticky. Gently peel off the protective layer of plastic found on one side of the frozen paratha which keeps the parathas from clinging to one another from within the package. Carefully place the side without the plastic layer onto the hot pan and proceed to remove the plastic layer on the other side as well. Flip and pan-fry the crispy Paratha Kawan for about 1 to 1½ minutes. Flip and do the same on the other side as well until it’s fully heated through and crispy. 

Storage: The Kawan frozen paratha is recommended to be kept in the freezer at a temperature of about -18°C (-0.4°F) at all times, both prior to and post opening the sealed package. This is to prevent the perfectly made parathas from getting gamey and chewy which can lead to the taste and texture of the flatbread being altered.
